A neglected cottage garden stroked back to life. Having naturalised over many years, much of the mature planting was rampant but could be trained and pruned back to express its characterful growth. Self-seeded native shrubs and trees were shaped and topiarised into interesting forms rather than being hastily replaced. New gravel and reclaimed stone paths complement the materials and patina of this charming house.
