Spiral garden
Somerset, UK

A new prospect for a Georgian country house. Bringing together garden, parkland and meadow, a double spiral unifies the landscape into a single flowing whole. Starting its journey at the front of the house, a Buxus spiral unfurls from an existing circular fountain reaching across a shallow earthwork towards a distant stone bridge. Here a series of concentric canals repeats the spiral motif as it curls back on itself to create a natural edge to the park and water meadow.
