Landscape design and restoration of a decommissioned limestone quarry in the Mendip hills.  The pronounced concentric benching of the quarry face is repeated in a new spiralling path that defines a native wildflower meadow on the upper plateau. A comprehensive planting programme was proposed to re-green the benches and bare spoil heaps using native species suited to poor calcarious soils.
