A permanent show garden for the horticultural exhibition site at Tulln, near Vienna. The garden, entitled ‘fragmented orchard’ is an exploration of how a simple design intervention can influence our perception of a collectively recognised garden typology. In this case an ‘orchard’ is transformed from  familiar into the unusual. Through a process of inversion, the new composition is seemingly cut out from the imaginary orchard meadow revealing a series of planted wedges.
