Inspired by the plough lines of the surrounding fields, three staggered canals lead the eye into the distant landscape. As transitional elements, the trio of gently curving leats cross from lawn into orchard and end their progression in the softness of newly planted wildflower meadow and birch woodland. Introducing direction and momentum to an otherwise obscured and peripheral corner of the property, the simple linear elements serve to link the garden to its natural surroundings.
